Explaining Social Thinking® to Kids The social world is complicated. This 2nd Edition of the storybook for the Superflex® series includes a structured approach to observe what's happening and gathering clues for figuring out the hidden rules in a variety of situations, from the playground, class, the cafeteria, to bedtime at home. Kids learn how to tune into the social world around them and are encouraged to examine their own and others’ actions and reactions. This will help them learn how certain behavioral responses influence their own and others’ thoughts and feelings. New illustrations reflecting a broader range of inclusion and diversity in characters, practice pages, and activities for deeper learning. Some of the new material includes specific teaching tips, and a glossary of Social Thinking Vocabulary and concepts. Although it's scripted for ages 5-10, (K-5) students, some middle and high school students who enjoy visual or comic-style books will also benefit from this book.
