Amethyst is considered balancing and calm. Hummingbirds teach us to savour the goodness in life. The Gitxsan are matrilineal, (kinship is based on the female line). Gitxsan people are born into one of four kinship lineages (or clans) — Frog, Eagle, Wolf and Fireweed. The Gitxsan are noted for their traditional arts.
