Amethyst is known to be balancing and calming. Eagle feathers are gifts of honour. The Haida are known for their craftsmanship. Traditional Haida territory spans the current international boundary between British Columbia, Canada and Alaska, United States. Their heartland is the two large and many smaller islands known as Haida Gwaii, which means "island of the people" in Haida.
